KITCHEN MANAGER

The Package:

Our Kitchen Managers Have:

  • Have 2+ years experience minimum (required).

  • Breakfast & Lunch Experience (highly considered)

  • Open availability and are able to work Days & Evenings (with two days off per week)

  • The ability to work together with and lead our hard working team.

  • Proven experience in food preparation, casual - fine dining

  • Strong familiarity with all major food prep techniques (Breakfast / Brunch experienced a huge plus)

  • The ability to stay composed under pressure and maintain a calm work environment and team.

  • The ability to work a full shift standing on feet and the ability to carry 15+ lbs is necessary.

 

Kitchen Manager Position Details:

  • Full Time only. Must be able to work days & nights (2 days off per week)

  • Assist with all responsibilities as designated by the Executive Chef 

  • Supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance

  • Lead the team to maintain a supremely clean work environment with the highest standards of workplace sanitation. Ensure the teams maintain a prepared and sanitary work area at all times.

  • Oversee / help to set up stations & all supplies to prepare for service in advance of opening

  • Ensure preparation of all foods by the team are up to The Shed standards learned during training. 

  • Oversee and instruct the team in preparing a variety of foods, sauces, meats, seafood, and produce as assigned by Executive Chef 

  • Manage inventory levels and maintain ordering to meet demand while minimizing waste.

  • Oversee staff & scheduling, alert Executive Chef in advance of any possible staffing changes.

  • Ensure kitchen equipment is used in accordance with safety standards & instructions. 

  • Oversee maintenance and upkeep of all Kitchen equipment with help of Facilities Director.

  • Open & close down the kitchen according to The Shed closing guidelines & Health Dept. standards.

  • Oversee and personally ensure all food storage areas are tidy and all products are stored appropriately while consistently using safe and hygienic food handling practices
